I've added a pair of Pioneer Dolby Atmos Enabled Speakers, SP-T22A-LR, to my Yamaha RX-A3070 A/V Receiver using the front presence inputs. Pioneer states to filter the speakers at or above 180. My Yamaha receiver has the following filters: (fc=40/60/80/90/100/110/120/160/200 Hz), there's no 180 so I used 160. Will this be ok?

They suggest "at or above 180" so of the two closest options I'd probably go for 200.

...but yeah, either one is probably fine.

Just to add to this discussion, my Yamaha TSR-7810 YPAO Calibration identified my Pioneer SP-T22A-LR crossover = 80 Hz, so I manually moved it up to 160 Hz and had it there since Jan. 2019. I tried it @ 200 Hz for a while, but felt the presence was better @ 160 Hz & have been happy since.

I use the Front Presence option for (of course) my handful of Dolby Atmos Blu-ray discs:

1) MI Rogue Nation
2) MI Fallout
3) Wonder Woman (2D - not an option w/3D)
4) Star Trek Beyond 3D
5) San Andreas 3D
6) Tomb Raider 3D (Alicia Vikander)

... and any 5.1 DVD / Blu-ray movies, internet streaming video(s) and cable TV shows. The Pioneer SP-T22A-LR speakers adds a wider, taller front channel dispersion spread with good to excellent separation depending on source material.

Anytime I play a 6.1 / 7.1 DTS-HDMA, I turn-off the Front Presence option.

Have fun & stay safe,
Phil
