Yamaha HTR vs. x400 series.... (1 Viewer)

I have been very interested in getting a Yamaha reciever and I have a very good frined that works at best buy who would be able to get one with his discount. but after looking at the models they carry they dont match any of the models listed on the yamaha website. I had been looking at the RX-V1400. does BB sell an equivalent model to that?

I dont think they sell the newer models like the 1400. The closest equivalent would be 5590, which is equivalent to last years model 1300.

so when you say "the closest equivalent" i assume that means that the 1400 would pretty much be the all around superior reciever correct? Will yamaha be offering a more updated line at BB in the next few months?

Yes the 1400 is a much better receiver. More power and it has yamaha's auto setup room eq, ypao.
