I just got GTA for my XBOX and have been thinking about adding some more songs from the 80's on my "tape player"

Anyone know of some good 80's songs that aren't currently on the game? I'm looking for probally 20 songs or so. Any got any good ideas?
Thanks

I recently bought a new collection of Jan Hammer's music called Miami Vice: The Complete Collection from DDcd. It is a two CD set and it is all instrumental Miami Vice creamy-goodness. (I also have both Miami Vice soundtracks & Jan Hammer's Escape From Television on my Xbox as well.)

I guess it is just nostaglia but I love driving around in Vice City (or Liberty City) with Jan Hammer playing in the background.

A good set of 80's music is called Living In Oblivion and has a lot of hard to find Top 40 & New Wave stuff. There are 5 volumes and each one is great. I have all 5 ripped to my Xbox.

I consider myself a big fan of 80's music so here's some suggestions:
Big Country's "In a Big Country" is in a cut scene but oddly missing from the radio in Vice City.
Kim Wilde "You Keep Me Hanging On"
Dead or Alive "You Spin Me Round"
Dire Straits "Money for Nothing"
Any number of Duran Duran songs (Hungry Like The Wolf, A View To a Kill, New Moon on Monday, Save a Prayer, The Reflex, Notorious,Union of the Snake,Rio etc)
Any number of Tears for Fears songs (Shout, Mad World, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Head Over Heels)
Eddie Money "Two Tickets To Paradise" or "Take Me Home Tonight"
Any number of Cars songs (Drive, You Might Think, Let's Go, Magic, My Best Friends Girl)
Men At Work-Who Can it Be Now? Down Under, or Overkill
Information Society-I Want to Know(Pure Energy)
Level 42-Something About You
Madness-Our House
Michael McDonald-I Keep Forgetting(the song which Warren G sampled for regulate)
Mike and the Mechanis-All I Need is a Miracle or Silent Running
Any number of Police songs
The Romantics-Talking in Your Sleep
edit-
Forgot Toto's other huge hit "Rosanna".

Man, I love the built-in soundtrack for Vice City. I cracked right up when I tuned in VROCK, and proceeded to listen to Iron Maiden and Autograph. Holy flashbacks! ;)

And yeah... to echo the others, no 80's album is complete without Duran Duran and/or Prince. I'd also suggest Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love"... and for something different, you can always use a little Chris DeBurg. ;)

What a great thread!! I've been looking for some more music to add myself. Jan Hammer is a great addition, did that myself with the Miami Vice:Complete Collection you may also want to consider adding some Genesis/Phil Collins, specifically the song In the Air Tonight, I found that to be a great addition to the mix of music. I also have No Guarantees by the Nobodys. ZZ Top songs would also be pretty good.

The Police! Anything by The Police before Sting left and got all tantric. Get some chick bands like The Bangles, or some classic rap like Run-DMC or Grandmaster Flash, some funk like Parliament, or soul from Marvin Gaye's last album. Let's not forget Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, or late 70s, early 80's punk like The Clash. Mix it up!

I've been looking for an audio file of one of the commercials from the game, the one with Lawrence Taylor as the football player advertising his gym...

Any ideas?
