Would a Barco Data 800 give me a better picture than a RPTV? (1 Viewer)

A friend of mine has a Barco Data 800 and offered to sell it to me.. I have little knowledge of this thing or any other front projector for that matter. I know that newer FPTVs have stunning pictures but will this old one (if in good working order) blow away the likes of a Toshiba 50HDX82?

Please explain why.... Thanks a million.

IF the CRTs are in good shape the Barco will give an image that is superior to a RPTV. You're not talking apples to apples here. The comparison is between a consumer grade RPTV and a commercial grade projector. Check out what year the Barco 800 was made. Early 90's models were notorious for power supplies that regularly failed. Regards.
