Is there any DVD release date in the near future for the TV movie or series?

As things currently stand, an R1 set (aside from perhaps an individual release of the pilot or something along those lines) is unlikely until the series goes into syndication.

There are a couple of releases in Japan, though I'm not sure about other regions.
