Does anyone subscribe to Wide Open West cable? I currently have ATT/Comcast cable, but the area that I am moving to offers both WOW and Comcast. What have your experiences been with WOW?

    TIA,

    Steve

A co-worker switched from Comcast to WoW and loves it. They are less expensive, and offer different cable modem speeds at different prices. The downside is that they are slower in rolling out HDTV over cable in this region, which is the only reason I have not switched from Comcast (I'm hoping for a good ESPN-HD offering before football season).

I am also thinking of switching my Internet Access to WOW from Comcast.

I recently got DirecTV and Comcast wants something like $57 for my cable internet service now. WOW offers internet only for $39.99.

It would be a hassle to change email addresses, but that is a lot of money. I was wondering if Comcast would give me a deal if I called and threatened to switch providers.
