Why do TVs make that cracking/popping sound when they're turned off? (1 Viewer)

I've noticed that every TV i've owned always makes a "cracking" sound or a "snap" after it's been on for a while. Usually, I notice it after I turn the TV off and it's cooling down. Is this normal for TVs? somebody mentioned to me that it might have something to do with the transisitors or static electricity(?)

Expansion and contraction from changes in temperature.
Computer monitors do it as well.
