I going to order the JBL nsp-1 package and probably going to get the JBL 12 sub. Buy.com has the NSP-1 package for $279 and J&R has it for $249, I think both are offering free shipping. Is there anywhere else I need to look before ordering? How much should I expect to pay for this sub. Is this the best sub to get for $350 or under? This should be a nice starter package for well under a grand I think? Any other Ideas to keep it cheap¿

Thanks in advance.

I bought mine from J & R. Ordered Monday, arrived Wednesday, installed Thursday, and wow do they sound great!

It was $229 at buy.com last week. You could wait and see if they bring it back to that price next week.

if you're getting the pb12 along with the NSP1 then I'd advice, www.etronics.com they have a package of the NSP1 and PB12 (and with the PB10 if you don't want the twelve) that works out to 600$ shipped (if there's no tax) which is a really good deal. If you buy them separatly to lessen the impact on your wallet, www.jandr.com has the best individual shipped prices for the NSP1 and PB12. If you want to demo them, most Best Buys have them up, but don't buy there, the NSP1 goes for about 400-500 and about the same for the PB12

Seems the NSP-1 package is a very popular choice for the price range. I think you'd be well served, however, from what I've read, to spend a smidge more on the sub. I think the Hsu VTF-2 can be found to close to $400 on line (at least someone posted that, but I've never seen it for less than $450. I haven't looked for it in quite a while, though), and that would probably be quite a step up and serve you well for quite a while.
Of course, I'd recommend getting a 25-31PCi from SVS for $550, but that's quite a bit over your range, so I won't recommend that ;).
