What to look for in DVD player in terms of audio

    not in the market, but just curious about what features/options/specs to look for in a DVD player to optimize audio...

    Well, most DVD audio is output digitally (unless it's DVD-Audio), so I think whatever is downstream from the DVD player is going to make a much larger difference than the player itself.

    Having DTS decoding somewhere would probably be helpful.
