What season did Everybody loves Raymond go HD (and widescreen)? (1 Viewer)

With season #3 of Everybody Loves Raymond on the way I was just curious if anybody remembers what season ELR went to broadcasting in HD and started airing widescreen shows?

I'm thinking Season #4 is the first in HD, but I might be wrong.

Given the announcement of the release of the ELR Season Finale on DVD being in anamorphic widescreen I think it would be safe to assume we're going to get the widescreen versions when they're available for future seasons and not the crappy pan & scan ones..

According to wikipedia, ELR started broadcasting in HD in 1999. I wasn't even aware that there were shows being broadcast in HD that long ago!
