What are the differences between the HK AVR325 and 525? (1 Viewer)

Are there any significant feature differences between these two receivers?

Would you switch from an Onkyo SR-TX601 to either of these? I have a mid-sized room for my home theater.

1. 525 is 70W x 7 vs 50W x 7 for the 325
2. 525 adds HDCD decoding
3. 525 adds bass management for analog sources (SACD, DVD-A)
4. Backlit remote

I've never heard the Onkyo 601. At least based on MSRP, the 325 and 525 really compete with the 700 and 800 which came out around the same time frame. The 01 models probably compete more directly with new x30 line from HK.

I own a 325 a love it.
