I have a Soundstream/Krell DAC-1 as my DAC for my cd player, now that I bought a Denon DVD-1910 that has Burr Brown 192/24 DAC's in it, will it sound better than the soundstream, anybody familiar with it? Thanks.

I think Pioneer uses the same DACs all the way through the line, or atleast up to the 56TXi. They are AKM DACs, but i'm not sure the model. The only way to tell which sounds better is to try it both ways. If you use the external DAC then make sure you set the receiver to Stereo Direct mode to bypass its internal processing. I'm not sure if the 1014TX applies bass management in Direct mode, so if you're using the receiver's crossover then you may not be able to use Direct mode.
