I built my htpc last year and through various changes in life just recently began using it. Come to find out that the Radeon AIW I purchased back then isn't supported in MCE2005 as a capture card. Basically ATI said "sorry buddy, but you can buy another card from us".

My question is, should I go with something like the Hauppage PVR 150 as my capture card and keep the AIW, or go with the AIW Elite Pro, which from what I can tell is what I would need.

    Thanks!

I would recommend the Hauppauge 150 card as a single tuner solution and the 500 MCE for dual-tuner. Alternatilvely, a card featuring the ATI 550 chipset is also a decent option.

I'm leaning toward the PVR150 to add to my system as I already put more into it than I had planned. It seems like the most affordable solution to my problem.

As far as the capture software goes, does the PVR150 have something like the AIW which downloads local cable schedules and allows you to set recordings for various programs?
