Velodyne CHT-12 and dual sub hook up. (1 Viewer)

I just got a Velodyne CHT-12 at Circuit City for 325 dollars, and thats with tax. So needless to say I got a good deal. I also have an existing Onkyo 8 inch sub. Now what I want to do is Y connect the Velodyne sub to the reciever (since the reciever only has one output for a sub), then take the RCA outputs from the Velodyne sub, Y connect them and put it into the single plug on back of the Onkyo.

Now will I have any problems in doing this or will it all work fine? Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

So basically it will be like this

Reciever single port out-Y connector into the RCA L and R input ports in back of the Velodyne- Y connecter out of the output RCA ports- Into the single Port of the Onkyo sub

Sub out / y connector to L,R / L to a single input on the Velodyne, R to a singe input on the Onk.

I'd bet, though, that the CHT would sound better alone. Experiment and have fun!
