Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have a 53" Toshiba Cinema Series analog that I am just about to replace(ie. move to bedroom). I believe I have it down to 3 choices. I am considering the 61" Sharpvision, Hitachi Ultravision 61" (both on clearance $1900) or the 65" Toshiba CS ($3200). Both are 16:9 HD's. Price is a big factor since I am on bugdet. I had my mind set on getting another Tosh until I saw the adv. for the Sharpvision and the Hitachi. These are the only 3 I can seem to find with a black finish which I have to have. My questions are: Are there any websites that give repair histories on these type of TV's and since the TV is 16:9, when I play a movie is it going to automatically display it at 16:9 or will I have tell the DVD player what format to display the picture in? Also, any recommendations will be appreciated on other HD sets. I really would like to stay under $2500. Anywho, sorry for such a long post and thanx for any help!
***edit*** The Hitachi is ruled out. I did not like the picture in "stretch" mode.
