Um, why is 'THE REF' non anamorphic?? (1 Viewer)

This film DID just make it's debute on DVD this past week right? If so how come the case and the disc appear to be from 4 years ago with a non anamorphic LD transfer?

How many versions are they're of this film on DVD?

Yeah, I felt cheated, too. The transfer sucks...and I believe it's the first time on DVD. So does this mean they'll release a better transfer in the future so that they can nab more of our money?

As a catalog title, I would doubt a re-issue in the near future.

I'll just keep my laserdisc.

Thanks a bunch Disney for setting DVD back about 5 years, it's as if the whole 16x9 revolution never happened.

You should be ashamed of yourselves for this really, in this day and age you release a transfer like this, an old LD transfer!?

It makes no sense whatsoever, your better than this.

I agree. There is absolutely no excuse for a new DVD to be widescreen and not enhanced for 16x9 TVs these days.
