TTT EE region 2 vs 1: any comparisons yet? (1 Viewer)

Has anybody compared picture and sound quality of the both regions?

All transfers in different regions are done by New Line so I believe the results are identical, if not for the extra scan lines for PAL

The R1 FoTR DVDs suffered from excessive filtering, which was not replicated on the PAL versions, hence the question for TTT. I haven't seen any comparison reviews yet.

Hi Julian,
Bjoern Roy did an extensive NTSC v PAL picture quality review of LOTR: FOTR here at http://www.videophile.info/Review/FOTR/FOTR_01.htm and also compared them to a "homemade" NTSC version derived from a Hi-Def broadcast - very interesting indeed.

He is just about to post a similar review of TTT !
