IS the upcoming 4K of AMADEUS the Theatrical or Director's cut?
Already covered. ONLY the THEATRICAL is getting the 4K release.

There are only 2 Oscar-winning Best Pictures not available on Blu-ray. Around the World in 80 Days, and, Laurence Olivier's Hamlet. One is under Warner Bros. domain, and I have no doubt if and when it comes to Blu it will be another Warner Archive stunner a la The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm. Hamlet was a J. Arthur Rank-Two Cities release, a company that had distribution deals with Criterion. To date, nothing has come of a Blu from Criterion. Would love to see both get their due in hi-def before I die. We'll see.

There's an old BD of Hamlet '48, but it's region B.
Released in 2009.
Yup, I have it in my collection.

Heavily discussed here. Search function works great. 🤪
