you'll probably be able to pick it up anywhere after that date

Excellent, every now and then I check around the net to see if it's going to be released. Seeing this now I don't even have to worry about waiting 6 months!

My cousin pre ordered it from the Bravo TV website, I think.

I was wrong. He preordered it from Shocase.ca. But, it is being released by Alliance Atlantis, so it should be available in most stores.
