I have a DST 3000 and when I am using the 1080i component
output the video will drop out for just asplit second.
This causes my Sony HS10 RPTV to display "DTV 1080i"
on the screen and then the video signal returns. I am
wondering if any one else has these problems. I called
Toshiba and they said that they hadn't heard of that problem

Thanks alot
Mike

Your receiver is a clone of the Hughes E-86 and a Mitsubishi model. All are known to run hot. Make sure there is plenty of ventilation all around the reciever. IIRC, this is the first sign of a heat problem. Some people have gone as far as using a fan or a laptop cooler to keep their receiver working correctly.

I have always had it sitting on the top shelf of an open air
rack unit. I have not tried a fan however. With all the
problems with all makes and models I am somewhat stuck.

Thanks alot
Mike
