Well, it depends on whether were talkng about my favorite 10 movies on DVD, or the 10 best DVD Presentations. To include both in a top 10 list is very difficult.
Heres my list:
1. Godfather Collection
2. Toy Story Box Set
3. Superman (Cant believe no one included this ,this DVD is a Godsend)
4. 2001 A Space Odyseey (Remaster,my favorite film)
5. Apocalypse Now (Looks simply awesome,2nd favorite movie,HOD would have made this one of the best DVD releases yet)
6. Akira SE
7. Seven Samurai (Criterion-The movie is just too fantastic not to be included)
8. Natural Born Killers (Dir Cut)
9. Sid & Nancy (Criterion Collection)
10.The Thing CE (Possibally the best "making of" featurette Ive seen as a extra)
Runners Up:

Greetings.

Voting will end this Saturday, December 15. I will be posting the link to the results site on Sunday, most likely.

There are some very close races throughout the list, so if you have opinions, let them be known. Very interesting results, and I think it's safe to say that this is the most definitive Top 100 DVDs list conducted of the online community.

If you haven't voted yet, please do so by Saturday if you wish them to be counted!

Thanks.

-Luke

You can see by most of my choices that good solid transfers of classics or vintage movies are my main interest. These are some of the best that I've seen. Not always my favorite movies (though most are among my favorites) but transfers that impressed me the most.

1. North By Northwest (Warner)

2. Moulin Rouge (FOX)

3. Written On The Wind (Criterion)

4. Marilyn Monroe Diamond Collection (FOX)

5. Funny Girl (Columbia)

6. Now Voyager(Warner)

7. His Girl Friday (Columbia)

8. Gladiator

9. Annie Get Your Gun (Warner)

10.West Side Story (MGM) -stunning transfer that rarely gets mentioned!!!

Well tonight is the last night to vote - I will be posting the link tomorrow to the results site. I hope you find it interesting, as I've spent a lot of time working on this project, calculating the votes, and working on the results site.

I do believe you will find the resulting list interesting.

Votes have all been counted, the results are in. I'm simply putting the final touches on the results website and I will be able to post the link tomorrow sometime.
Some interesting results we have. Voting is ended - thanks for the hundreds and hundreds of people who helped me out, here and elsewhere. This truly has been a useful project, I believe, as this is without a doubt the definitive Top 100 DVDs list compiled from the online community's opinions.
Hope you're looking forward to the launch of the site tomorrow! :)
