This is your opportunity to have your voice heard! Whereas other discussion forums have their reviewers determine the best and worst of the year, we are leaving it up to our members to cast their votes.

Please read the following carefully:

1. Nominate your two choices for the BEST 4K RELEASE OF 2023. This is based on overall visual/audio quality and/or restoration. The title must have been released on physical media in 2023. The top FIVE nominated titles go on to a final voting round.

2. Only one 2-choice nomination per member. You can repeat titles that others have nominated. As stated above, the top 5 nominated titles go on to the final voting round.

3. NO DISCUSSIONS in this thread, please. To make things easy on compiling your nominations, it is kindly asked you only post your two top choices.

Note: Blu-ray was not included in these awards. Truth be, your nominations take a lot of work to compile and it was felt that since 4k is the best format on physical media, the awards should reflect such.​

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Limited Edition box set (Second Sight). Previously released on 4K UHD in Germany in 2016, as one of the very first 4K UHD titles, Second Sight improved the transfer, even beyond the 2023 US MPI Media Group release. An excellent hardbound book and numerous supplements make this the definitive edition.

eXistenZ (Vinegar Syndrome). David Cronenberg has had a great year on 4K UHD, with no less than five superb 4K UHD releases by various labels (Naked Lunch, The Dead Zone, Videodrome, Crimes of the Future). But eXistenZ has never had a high definition release worth putting in a player, let alone one of Vinegar Syndrome’s top-tier releases.
