The dates changed about 4 times in the last 2-3 weeks officially and unofficially, but last week they decided to gain 2 extra weekends by starting it last Friday and extended it to Monday Aug 6.

For those who didn't hear about it already -- only 5 weeks to go.

I wouldn't jump on that just yet. The sale ends Aug 6 which is before either of those release so neither should be half price online.
It's yet to be seen whether those titles releasing in Aug or later will possibly be 50% with a Ship to Home order.

FWIW, Amazon has Tree of Life pre-order for $22.89, which ends up being less than you'd pay for it at B&N at 50% off.

"Bargains and Deals" wasn't anything that popped up. 3) Check Malcolm R's
snarky little comment. Sorry, but I've enjoyed The Forum for years and was
surprised at some of the incivility. I've now learned my lesson.

Like I stated, I am sorry. I think Malcolm's post was an attempt at humor at your expense. IMO, from my experience of moderating this forum for 18 years, I don't think it was an act of incivility, but obviously, you feel differently so I'll respect that.

I was making a feeble attempt at humor. On the other hand, however, the whole point of the Bargains & Deals thread is to discuss this very kind of sale, plus the continuing thread there on the BN Criterion sale has been used for more than 5 years now to discuss this same sale. In fact, you posted there twice within the past month so you seem aware of its existence:

And I'm sure I over-reacted. Us old coots do that on occasion. I did, however, try the Search
mechanism, and Bargains and Deals didn't come up. And, sad to say, I didn't recall that Thread,
even though I have used it, as you point out. Anyway, off to B&N to spend money I don't
have.
