Seven Cities Of Gold was always a favourite of mine, though rarely shown on TV. Saw it on general release in 1955. I know of an Australian DVD release but nothing about the quality or aspect ratio. I would be happy to buy a TT release of this excellent film. It has a nice Hugo Friedhofer score, too.

A good one for TT consideration: CISCO PIKE (Columbia, 72). OOP on DVD, great cast, very 70s vibe. Its stock has risen over the years, so critical/viewer interest is there.

I asked TT about it a couple years back. They replied positively but could not confirm. I think they are waiting for Sony to issue a 4k remaster.

The Long Ships would be good, too.

Yup, I was 12 when I saw that at the cinema (about the right age for the film) & I still have a soft spot for it, it's been on TV in HD, but not looking that great, it could do with the Sony delux treatment. Genghis Khan from two years later (same studio) looked great in HD on TV, I'd buy that as well, happy memories of seeing it at the cinema. Thinking of Sony, I hope they've been working on MacKenna's Gold & Barabbas, so that's four Columbia films I'd happily buy from TT (along with a few others).

It's not an important Bogie film in the grand scheme of things, but Sirocco is a fun film that is almost like a reprise of Casablanca in some ways. It has some relevance today as it takes place in Syria during France's administration of that country and there are terrorists (freedom fighters) fighting the colonial government as well as arms smuggling. It's also a Columbia title. I have the old DVD which I believe is out of print.

Many of these have already been released. You need a multi-region player.

So many of these are available already and are readily available in the U.S. and abroad.
