The Ring (Ringu) DVD??? (1 Viewer)

Anybody have any idea where I might find a NTSC Region All or 1 of this movie. I know that the UK is getting a special release of this movie. The movie was never distributed here (US) so I doubt they will release a DVD here so I have to look elsewhere.
For those who have not had the pleasure of seeing this movie, it is a `98 Japanese horror movie that was very popular and spawed many sequels and pre-quels. Even a TV series (The Spiral "La sin") in Japan. I saw it on VCD (ugh!) with some really rough subtitles and loved it (the movie that is) I have checked most import DVD places and no luck.
And those of you who are in to horror this movie is a MUST SEE!!! Good luck finding it though.

Agreed. This is a terrific film that needs to be viewed by horror fans everywhere. Unfortunately there is no word of a Region 1 release. I purchased the Region 2 Tartan Home Video release from Blackstar and was very pleased. It is anamorphic with nice, readable subs. The DVD includes a trailer for Ring 2, an essay from horror critic Marc Kermode and the option to watch Sadako's video uninterrupted. I've heard Ring 2 and Ring 0 will follow from Tartan in the U.K. later this year. Sazuma has NTSC Region 2 special editions of all 3 but alas all are in Japanese with no subs.
