I'm SOOOO excited for this release!! There are such great guest stars in the second season. My favorites are Don Knotts (especially for "the PuppetMan" song), Edgar Bergen, Madeline Kahn, George Burns, and Elton John. August can't arrive soon enough!

Surely this has been one of the longest delays for a TV-on-DVD set (I doubt Disney would have bothered with a Season 2 if the first one didn't sell well). Curous as to the music rights situation this time around

I can't remember when Season 1 was released. Was in '04 or '05?

In any case, glad to see Season 2 is on the way, hopefully with later seasons to follow soon.

I hope so too. Unless it took these last two years just to clear all of Season 2.

The original announcement for the first season mentioned a Jim Henson retrospective, featuring material taped at a Henson film festival at BAM the previous year. I wonder whatever happened to that?

hopefully the weasels that control the music publishing rights didn't jack the Muppets too hard. Supposedly the insane charges from music publishers controlling songs from the '50s is why Sha Na Na will never see the light of day on DVD.

The music publishing industry are a bunch of dinosaurs. They haven't adjusted their business strategies since the days when sheet music was the primary form of music purchasing, sometime during the Coolidge Administration.

Maybe, but this is nothing compared to the wait for twin peaks :)

Great news about this set-looking forward to more muppets. Other than the uncut episodes, only other feature that was sorely missing on the first set was chapter stops between segments.

Good to hear about the lack of cuts. I give Disney a hard time on many things (like their glaring lack of BTS interviews and/or commentaries), but for this I do commend and thank them.
