I've noticed that on 4/26, Jim Van Bebber's "The Manson Family" will get a 2-disc release. I'm getting conflicting information of retailer web sites, regarding the aspect ratio. Among others, DVD Empire lists it as 1.33:1 (horrors!), ans Amazon lists it as "Format: color".

Does anybody out there know the truth?

I believe the OAR is fullscreen, as some of the reviews on the web of this DVD indicates.

Walter is correct. It was matted for theaters but the director prefers 4:3.

Yeah, just to confirm, I got the newest issue of Premiere magazine today, and there's an ad for this 2-disc set. It says "5.1 Dolby Surround - Presented in 1.33:1"

THE MANSON FAMILY was shot in standard 16mm, which has a native aspect ratio of 1.37:1- i.e., full-frame.
