......Does anyone here know if the Barenboim Beethoven Symphonies 1-9 discs have dedicated advanced-resolution stereo tracks as the packaging says? I don't think they do unless they're on the DVD-Video layer, which would be unusual for a Warner disc since they usually always place the advanced resolution tracks on the DVD-A layer.

. I think a lot of people felt "why buy a Furtwangler/Beethoven immitation when you can buy the real thing, even if it's in mono". Also, isn't it true that the Barenboim recordings are totally lacking bass?
