Teaching DirecTV H20 IR Remote Codes (1 Viewer)

I have a Sony RM-VL900 learning remote, but I can't seem to get it to learn the IR commands from the H20's remote...any suggestions???

If the Sony’s learning is by pre-set codes, and there is none for the DTV remote, you’re hosed. If the remote can learn individual buttons (i.e., butting the remotes head to head while the Sony receives a command from the other remote), you can “teach” it the buttons you need.
