Hey everyone i have a brand new IXOS digital interconnect cable.. the bottom of the box says 1052-300 3M it says its the gold series.. basically its a purple cable with one RCA end on each cable ending. and at the top of the bx it says home theater interconnect cable. could i use this for my sub and just do a Y connector at the sub?? will this cable work well?? any input would be appriciated.. Thanks

That will work fine, and you don't need to bother with the Y cable. All that will do is double the stregnth of the signal to the sub's amp, which will when you calibrate lead to... cutting the signal in half. Now your back to the same thing with two extra RCA connections in the mix.
