I'm sure you've heard the expressions used to describe someone who's, let's say, not entirely with it, such as "one can short of a six pack" or "not the sharpest knife in the drawer". I came up with a few using Home Theater terminology:
- "His brightness (or sharpness) is set low"
- "One tube shy of a projection TV"
- "The player's on but the disc tray is empty"
- "One disc short of a special edition"
- "His/her changer is missing a few discs"
- "Not running on all speakers"
- "His brain's off and he lost the remote"
- "He/she's getting snowy reception"
- "One channel short of surround"
- "His/her convergence is off"
