I just read a post on a Steve Vai message board, that in last week's show in London, Steve said that they were recording that show for an upcoming DVD video of that night's concert.

My guess is its going to be released next summer. Cool!

    Bring it on!!!
Will this be the recent G3 tour with Vai, Satriani and Petrucci?
The G3 dvd from a few years back has some very dynamic 5.1 audio.
Hopefully the new dvd will have a similar quality.

No, this DVD is from the current Vai solo tour he is doing in Europe. Band members are Billy Sheehan, Tony McAlpine, Dave Weiner, Virgil Donati.

For Vai fans, the song list will look something like this:

    1.- Shyboy

    2.- Giant Balls of Gold

    3.- Erotic Nightmares

    4.- Blood and Glory

    5.- Dave Weiner's solo

    6.- Blue Powder

    7.- The Crying Machine

    8.- The Animal

    9.- Bangkok

    10.- Tony McAlpine's solo

    11.- Bad Horsie

    12.- A Billy Sheehan's song (Chamaleon)

13.- Little Wing, Jimi Hendrix's cover

    14.- Whispering a Prayer

    15.- Incantation

    16.- Jibboom

17.- For the Love of God

    18.- Liberty

    19.- The Attitude Song

Looks pretty good, but there are so many wonderful Vai songs not included.

Wow, a Steve Vai tour that also includes Tony MacAlpine. That would be incredible. Any chances of us seeing that tour here in the states??

At least on vai.com there are no news about other tours. They did cancelled the G3 tour in Mexico, because of the 9/11 events. One more reason to hate Bin Laden.
