I have a speaker next to my entertainment center which is 4 or 5 inches from my TV screen, and the magnet in it changes the color of the screen to a reddish hue in the upper right corner. Is there a way to solve this other than moving the speaker (my apartment is small).

The best way is to move the speaker. Ideally, your speakers should not be this close to your display, but I understand having space limitations. Usually a foot or so is enough to keep this from happening. I would do it quick, as this can actually cause permanent discoloration to the display (I know, I've done it).
