1. Casablanca - As Time Goes By 2. Donnie Darko - Mad World 3. Say Anything - In Your Eyes 4. Rocky - Gonna Fly Now 5. The Cable Guy - Don't You Want Somebody to Love
Since that was written for the movie - I think? - it wouldn't count in this thread. That'd be like saying the "Star Wars Theme" makes you think of Star Wars...

I stand corrected. I don't know what I was thinking - quoting the line the backup singers sing rather than the actual song title. I stand corrected, and will fix my post.
The song I remember most from "The Graduate" is not S&G's "Sounds of Silence", but "Mrs. Robinson". "Sounds of Silence" was on the soundtrack, but "Mrs. Robinson" was the song they kept repeating and it is sometimes even subtitled "The Theme From The Graduate". Are the people who said "Sounds of Silence" sure they are thinking of the correct song?
Goodness I can't believe no one has mentioned Bohemian Rhapsody and Waynes World! I always think of that scene with them in the car when I hear that song.
Benny and the Jetts during that scene in Sliding Doors when Helen walks in on her boyfriend and Lydia having sex
Venus As A Boy by Bjork always makes me think of the movie Leon. No scene in particular, just the movie itself.
The Shins and Garden State...those two just go hand in hand.
and this isn't a movie, but whenever I hear I shall believe by Sheryl Crow I see Max and Liz dancing in the end of the Future Max episode on ROSELL.
I definitely agree with "Stuck in the Middle" and "Behemian Rhapsody." The other one I really think of is "Where Is My MInd" by the Pixies played at the end of Fight Club. I'm sure more will come to me in the next day or two.
Definitely the first one I thought of. Also in The Breakfast Club there's the Simple Minds' Don't You Forget About Me.
Cheating a bit, but trailers, commercials, and re-used in other movies have been the omnipresent themes to Requiem for a Dream and In the Mood for Love, to a lesser degree
