I'm buying the 42" 16:9 RPTV from Samsung. It has "cool", "normal", "warm1" and "warm2" color temp setting. Anybody knows which one is the closest to 6500K?

The TV itself is gorgeous. 2 component inputs, 2 RF inputs, 2 S inputs. It weighs less than my 30" 16:9 direct-view, only 18" deep, 40" wide and 42" tall.

The only drawback that I know about this TV is the fact that it locks on 16:9 mode under progressive/HDTV mode.

Do you know the difference between the 4216W and the 422W? What made you choose the 4216W? They're both 42" HD RPTVs.

I've looked at Samsung's website and they appear to simply reword some of the descriptions. There maybe some difference in the speakers but I'm not sure.

Can anyone help?

The 422 is not available in Canada. AFAIK, the 422 is the Tantus series whereas the 4216 is not. Also available in charcoal black/grey colour is the 4215 (but again, not available in Canada).

I don't know about the US website, but be forewarned that the Canadian website's spec doesn't do justice to the unit itself.

On the website it states:

1 component input
1 RF input
1 fron A/V input
anti-glare screen: no
first surface mirror: no
colour temperature settings: 3

However, in actuality:

2 component inputs
2 RF input
anti-glare screen: yes
first surface mirror: yes
colour temperature settings: 4

I don't know about the shielding situation, but supposedly any Samsung TV with the Real-Flect Pro system comes with 3:2 pulldown, which means that the 4216 and 4215 also have 3:2 pulldown.
