I currently have a pair of B&W 602 S3's. I think they are excellent speakers and I'm not regretting my purchase at all. However, there are times when I want to listen to some hard rock/metal CD's, which usually don't have the best recording jobs. My B&W's really show this off, thus sounding terrible.

So I'm looking for some speaker recommendations. From looking around, it seems that the general consensus is Klipsch being the best rock speakers. Is there anything else I could look at in addition to Klipsch, preferably under $1000? I have an SVS 20-39CS+ so I'm not too concerned about the bass duties.

Thanks.

For hard rock? The Klipsch rule rock, used klf 30's are about 1k,if you really, really like to rock. For a little more refined sound the rf7's or 5's.You will look long and hard, spend lots to beat em'.
