I never heard of "Bird". We did have "Water" (soaks paper, rusts scissors, put's out dynamite, get's beaten by rock) and "Dynamite" (blows up everything but water). We also hated anyone that would use these variants, as they would just toss them into play, which would usually result in an un-announced game of "Ram-Sham-Bo".
