Hey, i was wondering if the great minds of the after hours lounge could help settle an argument I helped start...

Specifically, does the government (esp Virginia) pick up "small" roadkill?? I know they come by and pick up deer (and probably larger animals one would hope), but do they pick up small stuff, like groundhogs/possums, or do crows and the like take care of them?

If any of you master websearches could find a page, that'd be great!

Thanks,
dave

Well here in Maryland I take care of any road kill I come across! I know if I was dead, I wouldn't want to keep getting run over. So for 2 minutes of my time I can let their soul rest in the woods:)

Heck around here we have fine deer and wild boar roadkill. Right tasty if you get them fresh. I always keep a shovel in my pickup for this....

In Texas we use vultures to clean up the possoms, cats, armadillos, squirrels, skunks, etc. that don't take the time to look both ways before crossing.
