Hi all,
My name is Jorge Massa and I'd like to present my project. While I was a High School teacher in PG County near to Washington DC I started a initiative to restore public domain movies that are bad preserved or simply not restored at all. I spent many days in the archives of Library of Congress looking for those titles.
So I'm now starting a very challenging project, Algiers (1938), a movie that has no 35mm negative available, only very cropped 16mm copies. Luckily we got a digital scan from a copy that we could work on.
So here we show a trailer of our first steps in this restoration:
