reciever recomendations (1 Viewer)

I have wharfedale diamond 8.1's all around and the diamond center. I am currently using a kenwood vr 507 receiver. I was looking at replacing it with either the new pioneer 812 or 912 or maybee one of the lower priced yamaha's. I am wondering if anyone thinks it will be worth it or if this is not going to be a worth while upgrade. Something about the kenwoods sound just does not appeal to me. Any other suggestions are welcome. I am looking for something around $350 or less. I know not much , but not much money around here right now.

My first advice will be to go and audion both, and see what if the receivers are worth the upgrade.

I'm not familiar with either 812 or 912, many here arent yet, this are two new receivers from pioneer. I only have audition the 811S, and for me it was one of the best receivers under $300, in HT. It didnt impress me in Music.
