PS2 will do progressive scan dvd's (1 Viewer)

I was told at the local sony store that at the same time, or shortly after SOCOM Navy Seals comes out Sony will be releasing a cd upgradefor the PS2, you aparently load a file on to your memory card which will allow the PS2 to output a Progressive scan.

Good news for me till i get the cash for a stand alone dvd.

SOCOM will be progressive scan, so it's possible he/she got the info mixed up. Either way, I'll believe it when I see it.

Well thats the thing, the manager at the store said he had heard (nothing confirmed in writing) that socom would come with a software upgrade to enable the progressive scan, but yeah we do have to wait and see for sure
