Progressive DVD Player Question (1 Viewer)

I have a 27" Sony Wega TV. I have a regular Sony DVD player. Is it wise to upgrade to a progresive DVD player, or will I not be able to tell the difference since its not an hdtv?

Your TV must be capable of receiving a progressive signal in order to benefit from a progressive-scan DVD player. Therefore, it would probably be a waste of money at this point unless you're planning on upgrading to a HDTV set in the near future.
