I am not sure which way to go with my new set. Old technology (Pro530) or new tech. Here are some of the sets I narrowed it down to. Any suggestions?

Pioneer Pro530 Demo $2,499.99 with $500 off = $1999.99
Sony Grand Wega 42 = $2,799.99
RCA 50 DLP = $3,200
Panasonic 50 LCD = $2,999

Much of it depends on what your viewing preferences are. Digital displays are nice because there is no burn in worry, and they're BRIGHT, so they compete well with ambient light. CRT based RPTV's have better shadow detail, black levels, and contrast.

One thing to keep in mind. Be careful with demo CRT based RPTV's. Most of the time, they've been abused. They come from the factory pretty much in "torch" mode. They often have burn in.
