Plasma screen placement help (1 Viewer)

I am getting a 50" plasma screen and have only one problem. But it may be a doozy. We are wanting to put it over the fireplace but it seems like my firplace might be too tall. I know there are all types of brackets which can help swivel and move it around but I am looking for something that extends from the wall and can then the screen can be lowered. Does this make any sense? Any suggestions?

I am not sure such a mount exists. Someone at AVS forum was asking about a similar mount and no one could come up with anything that worked. You might be able to get something made custom if you have a good fabricator near you.
