I just moved into another apartment and am looking to replace my really old 5.1 ready receiver. After moving across country, I didn't take this reciever or DVD player with me. Now I'm looking to pick up something inexpensive to hook up to my Paradigm Atoms. Is there any reason I should stay away from the Pioneer at 179.99? Only 3 digital inputs, but it does HD Component Switching (my big purchase in the near future is a TV...but that's a post for another forum).

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Owned it for a while and returned it. Didn't have binding posts and felt kinda cheap. Sound was pretty decent though. You might look at this Onkyo . For around the same price and it switches component and has pro logic IIx and a 2 year warranty. Both are good budget receivers IMO and from personal experience either would probably work well.
