I heard great things about these receivers. Does anyone have them? if so, a review or comment would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 49TXi and I love it. What questions do you have? If you just want a review, search for professional reviews or go to www.audioreview.com and find other owners feedback. If you have a specific question, post it here.

I particularly like the automated surround set-up. It does a fantastic job. The VSX-49TX comes with a much better microphone for that purpose. As well, the 49TX comes with the fancy touch panel LCD remote control. The 49TX also has the video upconversion feature, that allows you to connect video sources to the receiver via composite, s-video, and component video, and have them all go out to the TV via a single component video set of cables. I'm not as impressed by that feature, as to my eyes there is some degradation of picture quality of sources that have been converted from s-video. As for the sound... unfortuantely they sound very much like Pioneer receivers. For the money, you could do a ton better with a set of seperates, but without all of the fancy features.
