PCM Inputs and Outputs?????? (1 Viewer)

Hi
I need to know a little bit about PCM inputs and outputs.
I would like the best possible sound coming out of my dvd player ( DV09 Pioneer elite) to my Receiver (VSX-27 tx Pioneer elite) The dvd player has 2 digital outputs , one says digital and the other says PCM. On the receiver it has the same but they are inputs. which should I use ? I am also hooking up a HD cable box.

Peter, I've moved your question from the Home Theater Builder section to here in Basics. The other section is for HTF members to dialogue directly with the magazine. As to your question, connect from the DVD player's digital output to the receiver's digital input.
