I just came from Best Buy. And oh my goodness. They had a HT setup in their display room, equipt with a front projector, Klipsch speaker fron and back, a sub, and their most expensive Yamaha reciever. And to top it all off they had the nerve to have a row of BERKLINES for you to set on.

BERKLINES FOR GOD SAKE!! But the biggest insult is that they were not just the regular Berklines, no, no, no. They were leather, with cupholders, and had the ELECTRIC RECLINE FEATURE! And to add insult to injury they were only $1299!!!! $1299 I TELLS YA!! I didn't know what to do with myself. Here I am with a theater with dual recline leathter soafs that cost me $3000 and manual recline, and they have the audacity to have my dream seats for only $1299!! What the hell am I supposed to do now?!!!

Sell your leather sofas and then pick up the dream seats. Either that or sell your blood. A few gallons ought to do it.

At a Best Buy!?!? Really? Wow... maybe BB is looking to cater to our niche.

None of the BBs around here even have a display room. If they do, it's full of their second rate auto speaker setups.

This reminds me of Trading Places... "Buy, buy!!"

and while you're at it, get that front projection setup of yours too ;)

I think BB is going to put a restraining order out against me. I go over there everyday on my lunch break to play with the Berklines, and their front projector setup.:b

I just love these seats. And I had to set up their HT correctly. They had all the channels backwards. The front left speaker was playing the front right info, and the same for the rear channels. I hate for a HT to be set up wrong.

BB set me loose to do what I wanted though. I love their 'turn on the fun' theme they have going over there. They thanked me for setting the speakers up properly :b

Looks like you are getting on their good side so maybe you can help them help you out. Give them HT advise and they give you discounts. Gool luck

LaMarcus,

I would definitely not buy those Berkline chairs for $1299! I couldn't tell if you were being serious or not when you mentioned that they were "only" $1299, but this is the most expensive price I have ever seen mentioned for Berkline Home Theater recliners.

I bought six leather match (leather everywhere except sides and back) Berkline 099 chairs, with cup holders and electric recline for about $4200.00 from leatherdirect.com.

Also, AVS Forum sells Berklines for similar prices and supposedly has good service too.

Please consider one of these other options - it will save you a ton of money.

I agree.
I bought 5 chairs recently (they are great!!!!).

The pricing I was quoted is $599 for the Vinyl covered versions, $699 for the combination vinyl and leather (certain parts of the chair are one or the other), and full leather $999.

If you pay more....you're getting ripped off...because there are at least 3 places in Atlanta where I found them at this price.

They are some of the best-constructed recliners I've seen (steel reinforced frame) and VERY comfortable (2 different people have already fallen asleep in them during a movie).

You can see them in action here in our Theater!

Wait a second. How much for a row of 3, cup holders for every chair, and electric? Because the price for berklines have always be astronomical. The BB price was the lowest I've ever seen.

But if their somewhere else cheaper, I'd be more than happy to get them where ever that may be.

Power to the recliner prices I listed previously adds $100 per chair. The other thing is that all of the places I dealt with were Home Theater specialists AND authorized Berkline dealers - meaning they had repair and warranty service onsite.
