xXx2 has already been announced?!? Don, I still don't know how you got to see it. You confirmed you weren't a critic yet still just saying you were outside and walked in. What the shite does that mean?

So what's Diesel got on his plate now? xXx2, Hannibal (the general from Carthage...NOT the cannibal!), Chronicles of Riddick....MAN, that guy stays busy. I can't help but think I've forgotten two other projects he's signed on to...

Did this screening take place in bizarro world? Do you work at a theater and occasionally just take a reel home with you? I don't know, just sounds strange.

While xXx will be a commercial success. It looks to have the cinematic quality of Eight Legged Freaks and Ring Of Fire. IMHO My 7.50 ($15 for a date) will be spent somewhere else. I like the action movies that came out when I was a kid/teenager: Terminator, Die Hard. But now I really only like the highly plot driven action films like Ronin.

I'm guessing Don was the delivery guy who had the missing reel of the film his bud the theater manager hadn't received, or something like that.
As for the rest of it, lay off a bit guys! ;) I don't see endless posts lamblasting writing structure when one of you (as almost EVERYONE ON THE !%!@#$!@$ INTERNET DOES) uses 's as a plural rather than a possessive (hint: ends in s DOES NOT mean 's).
I can't wait for xXx. Vin Diesel is a damn fine actor, and has the physique to do roles other actors can't make work since they look 'ordinary' ... which Vin doesn't. And that's before the makeup artists do the fake tats!

Oh man...that bit about Boomhauer was friggen priceless!:D
Not often I laugh out loud, but that just about killed me!
I, for one, am interested in this action flick. I hope it is a start of a new era in smart action films.

"this movie was on 5 reels"
How can that be when I've read a post on film-tech where the film is 114 minutes? Surely this film is on 6 or 7 reels. :)
By the way......bring on "xXx" (and I for one am rather tired of reading these "porn joke" comments). :)

This is in fact the worst looking thing ive seen since Fast and Furious,Those people who like these kind of things have the WORST taste,in fact no taste in what Cinema, and film should be.I have nothing against action films, but this is Trash of the lowest form, because they spend so much time and money to make something so worthless, when in fact they could spend the same amount and make an action film with character, and feeling. All they have to do is destroy the writers and the director, and hire worthy fill-ins.

I wonder if we'll see any mainstream actors with names like John Holmes or Marilyn Chambers anytime soon? ;)

Daniel, was that a joke post? Blasting a film that hasn't come out is just low dude, unless you've seen it, which isn't apparent from your post.

 I think you're neglecting to consider the very nature of 'action' films.

I'm going to walk into this film expecting crazy, nigh-impossible stunts with just enough plot to keep it all from being completely unrelated.
If the movie can fulfill this, then my base expectations will be met. It wouldn't hurt if the acting was decent or the plot was clever, but the film makers are under no illusion that this is Oscar bait.

Thanks Daniel for saying I have no taste in what cinema and film should be. I appreciate it!
I enjoyed The Fast and the Furious. Sure it was bad, but boy was it one of the most entertaining films of last year. I can't wait to see xXx tomorrow, cause I'm sure it'll be bad, but just as entertaining as The Fast and the Furious.
