Yeah, it's mostly a gaming thing. Multiplayer gaming on the PC has really taken off in the last few years, and some great games have come out. Most people play on the internet, but it really is a totally different experience coming to a Lanparty and being in the same room as the person you are playing with. Takes teamwork and strategy to a whole new level. Aside from that, it’s also about hanging around with people who share a common interest with you. I’ve made a lot of new friends going to these things over the years. You could come to one of these, not play a game the whole time and still have a good time if you wanted to.
